  1. I enjoyed your personal story “a picnic to remember,” one of my favourite part is where you made a promise not to lie to your kids, I also connected to the part where you argued about you wanting to walk home because I also argued to walk home once, It was nice how you were loud and clear so people can hear you talk without have to turn up the volume to a loud amount. And at the end I learned to laugh about stuff even though you might have been mad at the time

  2. Your book titled “A Picnic to Remember” was very enjoyable to listen to.
My favorite part was when your mom and your aunt tricked you into that “Picnic”.
I have a connection from the start of the book: I also liked to build forts and stuff out of boxes when I was younger.
I liked how you expressed your feelings when you find out that you’re going berry picking.
I won’t forget when your mom and your aunt tricked you into going berry picking. -Roy

  3. Your book title “A Picnic To Remember.” Was very enjoyable to listen to. My favourite part was when your mom and aunt tricked you into that picnic, but you were actually going berry picking. I have a connection to make. Last year my friend called me over to his house to play, but really it was just to help him clean his room. I have a question. How long did you go berry picking for? Something I will never forget is when your mom and aunt tricked you, your sister, and your cousin into going berry picking.

Your story A Picnic To Remember was enjoyable. My favourite part was when you realized you got tricked. My favourite part was when you realized you got tricked. I have a connection with your story which is when I was staying with my uncle for a bit and we had to get up early to farm. I have a question for you which is how come you did not like farming? What I have learned from this story that it’s never good to lie.

My favorite part of the book is when you and your family are boarding the ferry and when your mother and Aunt say that you were berry pickers. My connection to the book “ A picnic to remember” was when my family and I were in Disney World and my sister and thought it was just the four of us but my aunt, from Ontario, ended up coming to so that was a big surprise for the both of us. I really liked how you choose this story in particular, I found it very interesting to listen to and enjoyable! Thank you so much for coming to my class and reading this book to us I really enjoyed it and I can’t wait till you come back again!

  7. Your book titled: a picnic to remember was awesome. I really liked the part when your mom tricked you… to me the main idea was to be careful what you ask for cause it may backfire. I connected to the part when you said you mon tricked you cause once my mom tricked me by saying I was going to Disney land but I was really going to the doctor :c but I forgave her after she gave me 10 bucks. So never forget these very words “I like bananas” JK here is the actual words “careful what you ask for” there I said it though I never follow it.

  9. I loved it when you told us “A Picnic To Remember”. I liked the part where you got tricked. I have a connection about when you got tricked, my brother says that he’ll do something to make me happy then doesn’t do it. I liked it when you described the lesson you learned after the experience. I learned not to trick my kids when I grow up.

  10. Mr. Servizi’s book “A picnic to remember” was very enjoyable to listen to!
My favourite part of the story was when your mothers said “Yes we’re berry pickers.” I thought they were actually going to take you on a picnic. Why did they trick you I wonder? A connection I had when reading this story was when my mom said she was taking us to Wayland Sports but, we were actually going to Walmart! I liked how you said “My sister has now become an expert whiner.” I couldn’t stop laughing! Thank you Mr. Servizi for telling us this wonderful story! I hope to see you soon! Emily Grier

  13. Dear Mr. Servizi, Your book “A Picnic To Remember” was funny and I loved to listen to it.
I like how the mothers tricked you guys and said that you were going to have a picnic to Vashon Island but you ended up picking berry’s instead. When you said that your sister learned the skill of an expert whiner it reminded me of my brother because he always gets upset when he doesn’t get what he wants. I think it is cool how you played outside and actually did things what I think is uncool is that us kids these days just stay inside all day and do nothing. What I learned today is that parents can be just as much trouble as kids can be.

  16. Dear Mr.S,
When I heard your story, it was easy for me to understand it.
My favourite part, was when you said that you and your cousin slept in a tent in your backyard. I also made a connection, when you said you were about to board a ferry, and mom and aunt said you were going fruit picking, just like when I got my first cavity, I went to Dairy Queen, and ordered a sm. Milkshake, but my mom changed it to a lg. And I loved your story so much, when I was listening, I stood there, rapt. The thing I learned, is that fruit pickers got a free ride on the ferry. I also learned, that you used to that you used to have to walk 10 miles home!

This reminds me of when my stepmom told me and my brother we were going on a hike but we were actually going to Castle Fun Park.

I wish you said more about the 10 mile walk because lots of things could have happened on a 10 mile walk.

I will not forget that story, thanks for reading it to us

  18. Dear: Mr. Servizi
Book title: “A picnic to remember.” Amazing book! Very detailed!
I really like the part when you said that your sister is a expert whiner. I also like how back when you were a little boy you found things to entertain yourself by making forts out of creates and since there’s phones and computers and IPad etc. everyone just sits around all day instead of getting exercise.
When you said that you going on a picnic but you ended up going berry picking It reminded me of when I was a bit younger we were supposed to go to the park but when we were driving witch I thought we were going to the park we ended up a blue berry farm and we were picking berry for like 2 hours.
I think the picnic story was very detailed and interesting hoy your childhood was. Like the time when you made forts out of creates.

I feel so bad for you that you had to get up really early to pack your lunch and get ready for school and go to school. 22. Your story a picnic to remember is a funny heartfelt story. My favourite part of the story is when you wrote “my cousin and I rebelled “I think it is quite funny that you couldn’t take any more berry picking and just wanted to go home. My connection to your story is when you said that you didn’t have many toys so you used your imagination. I thought back to December when my neighbors and I went outside after church at their house and with the help of two adults we made a snow fort full of tunnels even the adults could fit inside of it. After it was built we all acted like we were penguins and the fort was our home. I wish you would have told us a little bit more about what you used to play with your cousin and sister. I don’t think I will forget this story and I will tell it to my grandma ( Elaine) and my mom (Brenda).
